As of August 31, the fund’s AUM stands at S$1.26 billion. It is a reflection of investors’ confidence in the long-term growth potential of Singapore and Asia, growing demand for income-oriented solutions, and the continued development of Singapore’s equity market, JPMAM says.

The fund seeks to deliver diversified income with competitive total returns by combining an actively managed, income-oriented portfolio of Singapore and Asian equities with a disciplined options overlay strategy. The fund is managed by Singapore-based equity portfolio managers Pauline Ng and Changqi Ong, supported by a seasoned team with over 15 years of proven expertise in generating alpha across Asean equity and Asian income strategies, as well as a dedicated derivatives group headed by Stuart O’Neill.

To commemorate the milestone, J.P. Morgan Singapore is making a contribution to SGX Cares Bull Charge, SGX Group’s corporate charity initiative that brings together the financial community to support underprivileged children and families, persons with disabilities and the elderly.

The contribution will go towards SGX’s six adopted charities: Autism Association ( Singapore ), AWWA Limited, Fei Yue Community Services, HCSA Community Services, Shared Services for Charities and Tasek Academy & Social Services.

Ayaz Ebrahim, JPMAM chief executive officer of Singapore, Southeast Asia and India, comments: “Surpassing S$1 billion in AUM is not only an important milestone for the JPMorgan Singapore & Asia Equity Income Fund, but also for our business. As the first global manager appointed under the EQDP initiative, we are proud to support the continued deepening of Singapore’s equity market while bringing investors a differentiated income solution, one that combines active equity investing with our options overlay expertise. Reaching this milestone reflects the strong investor demand we have seen for the strategy and Singapore's growing role as a gateway to Asia. We are also pleased to mark this achievement by contributing to SGX Cares Bull Charge, reinforcing our commitment to the broader Singapore community.”
